Paul Pelosi, the husband of former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has been formally charged with a misdemeanor hit-and-run following a traffic incident in Napa County, California. The charge was announced by the Napa County District Attorney’s Office after investigators reviewed evidence from a collision that occurred earlier this month.
According to prosecutors, the incident happened on **July 3** in **Yountville**, a town in California's Napa Valley. Authorities allege that Pelosi, 86, was driving a Maserati convertible when his vehicle struck a legally parked, unoccupied car. Investigators say he briefly stopped but then left the scene without providing his contact or insurance information, as required under California law for crashes involving property damage.
Officials confirmed that **no one was injured**, and the damaged vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the crash. Law enforcement also stated that **no alcohol was detected** during their investigation, meaning the case does not involve allegations of driving under the influence.
In addition to the misdemeanor hit-and-run charge, prosecutors also filed an **infraction for making an unlawful turn**, alleging that the improper maneuver contributed to the collision.
