President Donald Trump has publicly encouraged newly appointed Sen. Darline Graham to run for a full six-year term, saying she would have his "complete and total endorsement" if she enters the race.

The statement came after a White House meeting where Darline reportedly discussed the possibility of launching a campaign. Trump later praised her as a "spectacular person" and said no one would be better suited to honor the legacy of her late brother, longtime Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Darline was recently appointed to complete the remainder of Lindsey Graham's Senate term following his passing. While she has not officially announced her candidacy, Trump's endorsement has quickly become a major talking point in an already competitive Republican primary.

South Carolina Republicans are set to vote in a special primary on August 11, with the winner advancing to the November general election for a full Senate term.

This latest development could significantly reshape the race in the weeks ahead.
