Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin is expected to travel to New York City on Wednesday afternoon to give remarks.

Mullin is expected to highlight how President Donald Trump's One Big, Beautiful Bill has helped efforts to revitalize the United States Coast Guard.

DHS said Mullin will also discuss the role the USCG is playing in events for America's 250th anniversary and the FIFA World Cup.

Last month, Mullin traveled to Birmingham, Alabama, to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Coast Guard’s newest training facility at the Birmingham-Southern College Campus.

President Trump is the first president in decades to make a heavy investment in our United States Coast Guard," Mullin said. "He's put over $24 billion toward a mission to revitalize the Coast Guard for today’s threats and tomorrow's threats and without this campus, we couldn’t make it happen."
