BREAKING NEWS: Life Flight responded to a home in the Humble area Friday after a 2-year-old child was found in a swimming pool, according to deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

 HUMBLE, Texas – A 2-year-old child drowned at home in the Humble area Friday, according to deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

Deputies responded to the home in the 19000 block of Pine Trace Court after the child was found in the swimming pool.

Life Flight immediately responded to the scene and made life saving efforts. The child was flown to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

West Lake Houston Parkway was shut down from FM 1960 to allow Life Flight to safely land.

Residents were asked to avoid the area, expect delays and give emergency personnel plenty of room to work.

“This is an unimaginable tragedy, and our hearts are with this child’s family during this incredibly difficult time. We ask our community to keep the family, loved ones, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss in their thoughts and prayers,” Constable Mark Herman said.
