SAN ANTONIO - A woman had to be rescued from a mangled car after an overnight crash sent the vehicle through a fence and onto H-E-B warehouse property on the Northeast Side.
Emergency crews were called out shortly after 1:30 a.m. Friday to Rittiman Road near Thornwood.
Both the man and woman involved were in their 20s and were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said the sedan jumped a curb, crashed through a chain-link fence onto H-E-B warehouse property and eventually slammed into a tree. The area is part of a major industrial corridor along Rittiman Road that includes several H-E-B warehouse and distribution operations.
When officers arrived, they found the male driver unconscious on the ground outside the car.
