HARRIS COUNTY, Tx – Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Maritime Drive in the Sheldon area just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening.
They found an approximately 40-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds deceased at the scene.
According to investigators, the victim’s stepfather called 911.
A 29-year-old man is in custody and being questioned by detectives.
n a post on X, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated it appears to be a possible ”intimate partner incident.”
Investigators say the man and woman had been drinking and were arguing throughout the day.
Both lived at the home on Maritime Drive with the stepfather.
Detectives are still trying to determine the motive in the shooting.
