Woman fatally struck while crossing street on the South Side

 

SAN ANTONIO — A 63-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle Saturday night on the city's South Side.

Officers responded around 9 p.m. to the intersection of Gillette Boulevard and South Zarzamora after a woman was hit by a vehicle. Investigators said she was attempting to cross the main lanes of South Zarzamora outside a marked crosswalk when a vehicle struck her.

The driver stayed to help until emergency medical personnel arrived.
