Juicy steak with creamy garlic sauce

Ingredients:
FOR THE STEAK:
2 beef steaks (e.g. Ribeye, fillet or T-bone)
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper
1-2 sprigs rosemary (optional)
2-3 cloves garlic (optional)
FOR THE CREAMY GARLIC SAUCE:
2 tablespoons butter
4-5 cloves garlic (finely chopped or pressed)
200 ml cream
50 g cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
Salt and pepper to taste
A splash of lemon juice (optional to freshen the sauce)
Fresh parsley or chives (for garnish)
Preparation:

1. PREPARE THE STEAK:
Season the steaks: Season the steaks well with salt and pepper on both sides. You can also add rosemary and garlic to the steaks for extra flavor.
Fry the steaks: Heat a skillet (preferably cast iron) over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and place the steaks in the hot skillet. Fry for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on the thickness of the steaks. If you prefer it seared, cook a little longer.
Let the steaks rest: Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
2. CREAMY GARLIC SAUCE:

Melt the butter: In the same pan where you fried the steaks, add the butter and heat over medium heat.
Fry the garlic: Add the chopped garlic and fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.
Add the cream and cream cheese: Pour the cream into the pan and stir in the cream cheese until the sauce becomes nice and creamy. Let it cook over high heat until it thickens slightly (approx. 5-7 minutes).
Season to taste: Season the sauce with salt, pepper and a little lemon juice. If the sauce is too thick, you can thin it out with a little water or broth.
3. PREPARATION:
Serve the steaks: Place the steaks on a plate and pour a generous amount of the creamy garlic sauce over it.
Garnish: Sprinkle the whole thing with fresh parsley or chives.
Serving Suggestions:
This dish goes perfectly with side dishes like fried potatoes, chips, or a fresh salad. Grilled vegetables or rice are also good for you.

Enjoy!
