Bexar County deputy resigns after arrest on tampering charge

 SAN ANTONIO - A Bexar County sheriff’s deputy has resigned after she was arrested Tuesday on a charge tied to an alleged incident in Laredo.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said Anabell Rivera was arrested on a warrant for tampering with a government record. The warrant was issued Aug. 31.

Officials said the alleged conduct happened before Rivera began working for BCSO. She had worked for the sheriff’s office for two years.
