strawberry bagel salad

This is a dessert my family constantly requests, especially for birthdays and Mother's Day. It's an irresistible blend of Midwestern flavors and Southern charm, composed of several layers: a crispy, salty pretzel base, a creamy, tangy filling, and a glossy strawberry topping that makes an impact with disarming simplicity.

The classic strawberry and bagel salad is usually prepared in several steps and with additional ingredients, but this simplified version proves that it's possible to create a memorable dessert with just a few basic ingredients. With only four ingredients and minimal preparation, you'll have a delicious, homemade dessert without spending hours in the kitchen.

Serve it chilled, cut into squares and presented in a glass dish to showcase its beautiful layers. It pairs wonderfully with hamburgers, hot dogs, or grilled chicken, as well as potato salad and baked beans at your next gathering. A glass of iced tea or a cup of hot coffee perfectly balances its sweetness, and fresh berries add a touch of freshness. Rich, creamy, and generous, a small portion is all you need, making it the ideal dessert for potlucks, church dinners, and family gatherings.
